Pilot / Field Testing

APTwater, Inc. maintains a fleet of mobile process equipment that can be rapidly deployed to a potential project for the purposes of evaluating actual operating conditions and demonstrating system performance. Because our process technologies are highly scalable, the field test results obtained at a 5-10 gpm pilot study can directly predict a full-scale system design. Depending on the site condition and project objectives, field pilot testing usually range from 1 week to 3 months. Throughout this process our engineering and pilot testing staff will work collaboratively with you to keep you aware of results and help build your familiarity with our process technologies.

At the completion of each study, APTwater issues a written test report that defines test objectives, methodology, analytical results, and resulting treatment system design ramifications, including a projection of power demand, consumables, capital requirements, and operating costs.

The decision to perform a laboratory bench test and/or pilot test is determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the customer. Some factors that impact the decision include the contaminant profile, anticipated discharge limitations, schedule and budget constraints, and risk acceptance / distribution.
