Terry Applebury, Co-Founder, President, & CEO

Terry Applebury is a co-founder and the President and CEO of Applied Process Technology, Inc. (Applied), a water treatment technology provider noted for its leadership in developing and delivering highly innovative and effective solutions to the drinking water, process water and environmental remediation markets.

Since assuming his role as President and CEO in 2000, Applebury has grown the company from a struggling, one-product start-up to a budding enterprise with expanded technology and service offerings, a national reach, and an impressive list of clientele. Under Applebury's leadership, Applied has substantially increased its annual revenues and secured a multimillion dollar investment from investors including Seacor Holdings Inc. and Miller Environmental Group.

Applebury is a co-inventor of HiPOx, the groundbreaking technology behind Applied's success. He was instrumental in developing HiPOx into a commercially viable, domestically and internationally patented process. HiPOx has become the first advanced oxidation technology ever approved by the California Department of Health Services to completely remove MTBE from drinking water.

Throughout his career, Applebury has held significant management positions in both domestic and international organizations and has substantially improved the productivity, processes, profitability and overall fiscal health of numerous operations.

During his 28-year tenure at Dow Chemical Corporation, he held manufacturing positions in various chemical facilities including a chlor alkali facility, a chlorinated solvents production facility and an agricultural chemical complex. For about 10 years he directed an agricultural chemical R&D process development organization of about 200 people and oversaw laboratory-to-market activities for 5 successful products. He directed manufacturing and research and development programs and served on a business team which oversaw a hollow fiber membrane technology for two gas separation businesses.

A visionary and a central contributor and advisor to small technology companies, Applebury's expertise lies in his ability to profitably take ideas from conception to commercialization and to launch and manage new operations.

Mr. Applebury continues to guide Applied to improve and enhance its existing technologies and processes while identifying and developing much-needed new solutions to emerging challenges facing the water treatment market. At Applied, Applebury fosters a business philosophy that is underscored not only by the need to protect and preserve our precious water supplies but also by a desire to deliver the highest level of value and service to the customer.

Applebury received both his BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.
