Peter Herlihy, Eastern Region Manager

Peter Herlihy is Applied Process Technology, Inc.’s (“Applied’s”) Eastern Region Manager.  He has been responsible for technical and product development programs and has overseen commercialization efforts in the Eastern United States since joining the Applied team in 2001. 

Mr. Herlihy was instrumental in the development and design of Applied’s groundbreaking PulseOx chemical oxidation technology, which translates the robust chemistry and precision of the HiPOx process to an extremely effective in-situ treatment solution.

Mr. Herlihy brings nearly 25 years engineering and management experience in the chemical and environmental industries.  During his 18-year tenure at Dow Chemical Corporation, he served as a Project Engineer for Dow Chemical’s Western Division in the polyethylene extrusion and converting business, and progressed from Project Engineer to Engineering Manager to Plant Manager for Dow’s membrane air separation business.  He left Dow in 1998 to join a controlled atmosphere startup company, where he served as Vice President of Technology.

Mr. Herlihy has co-authored technical articles related to the PulseOx in-situ process.  His work has been featured at water treatment technology conferences by such entities as the National Ground Water Association and the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) and has been published in industry journals such as Water & Wastewater Products Magazine.

Mr. Herlihy received his BSME from Northeastern University, Boston MA, in 1980.
