Keel Robinson, Engineering Manager, Drinking Water & Wastewater


Keel Robinson is Applied Process Technology’s Engineering Manager of Drinking Water and Wastewater.  He is leading engineering and product development of Applied’s HiPOx technology for municipal applications such as drinking water taste and odor control, wastewater disinfection, and multi-contaminant removal.   Keel has also sold, designed, manufactured, and commissioned numerous HiPOx systems for a diverse array of clients in the environmental remediation sector.  He also manages Applied’s bench and pilot testing programs for HiPOx applications.

Keel joined Applied in 2004 and brings over 10 years of water treatment experience to Applied, working as a field service engineer, applications engineer, project manager, and environmental consultant.  He has extensive product and application experience in both the industrial and environmental markets with numerous technologies ranging from absorption to ion exchange to membranes and ultraviolet light.  Keel’s unique background of understanding of water treatment has successfully allowed Applied to find the best solutions for our customers.

Before joining Applied, Keel worked for U.S. Filter and URS Corporation.  During his career at U.S. Filter in Rockford, Illinois, Keel progressed from a field service engineer to an applications engineer, working closely with the Research and Development group, focusing on high purity water systems, sugar refining, and industrial process and wastewater.  During his career at URS Corporation in Oakland, California, Keel conducted soil and groundwater investigations, completed feasibility and treatability studies, and designed groundwater remediation systems.

Keel graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1995, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering.
