California-Nevada AWWA 2006 Spring Conference

The California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is hosting its annual 2006 Spring Conference at the Hyatt San Francisco Airport Hotel in Burlingame, California.  “Bridging The Gap” is this year’s conference theme.

On Wednesday, April 26th at 2:00 p.m., Applied’s Chief Technology Officer, Reid H. Bowman, Ph.D., will present a paper entitled, “Reduction of Perchlorate, Nitrate, and Halogenated Solvents in Groundwater using a Hollow-Fiber Membrane Biofilm Reactor (MBfR)”.  The advantages of Applied’s unique MBfR technology versus the more commonly used heterotrophic biological reduction processes will be highlighted during this presentation.

NGWA 2006 Western Focus Ground Water Conference

The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) is hosting a 2006 Western Focus Ground Water Conference at the Cathedral Hill Hotel in San Francisco, California.  Conference sessions will cover MtBE, perchlorate remediation, the legal implications of vapor intrusion, and much more.  

On Wednesday, May 17th at 12:55 p.m., Applied’s Operations Manager of Environmental Remediation, Philip K. Tang will present a paper entitled, “A Comprehensive Overview of Aggressive Remediation of MtBE and TBA Contaminates Using an Innovative In-situ Advanced Chemical Oxidation System”.  This presentation will focus on successful case studies where Applied’s revolutionary PulseOx in-situ technology has utilized ozone and peroxide to effectively remediate chemically-degraded groundwater and subsurface soil.
