PULSEOX APPLICATIONS & CASE STUDIES

PulseOx technology is widely applicable to sites where groundwater is impacted with petroleum constituents BTEX, MTBE, and TBA, or solvents such as TCE, PCE, DCE, vinyl chloride, or the solvent stabilizer 1,4 dioxane.

PulseOx technology is generally ideal for sites with plumes up to several hundred or a few thousand feet long or sites that have defined “hot spot” areas. The technology is not appropriate for in-situ treatment of large regional groundwater plumes.

The limiting factor at most sites is the soil permeability; sufficient permeability is needed to facilitate the injection and distribution of oxidants. Additionally, sites should have at least a mildly oxidative environment. Sites with a highly reductive oxidation reduction potential (ORP) are not good candidates for PulseOx technology as they will likely require an inordinate amount of reactant materials to get them into an oxidative state.

Applied can assist you in evaluating whether the PulseOx technology is appropriate for your site.

CASE STUDIES

Over the past year, Applied has utilized the PulseOx technology to treat multiple in-situ projects. Some examples of our success are are available below.
