ROCHEM - Membrane Process Separation
Rochem designs and manufactures proprietary and patented membrane process separation technologies and services used by landfill operators, ships at sea, refiners, chemical manufacturers and other companies with difficult-to-handle waste water streams. - For improved seawater desalination and waste water treatment Rochem has patented the Rochem Spacer Tube™ (ST) Module which is supplied with either reverse osmosis or Nanofiltration membranes. This module is now widely used to provide fresh drinking water and to clean up wastewater from landfills, chemical plants and other tough to treat streams.
- To overcome the fouling problems experienced by standard ultra-filtration systems when treating difficult waste water, Rochem developed and patented the FM Module™. The FM MODULE™ technology addresses special requirements such as the treatment of Grey Water on ships and municipalities in order to meet environmental discharge requirements. The FM Module is also used to treat and convert surface water to drinking water, as well as, treatment of various industrial waste waters.
- Bio-Filt® is a highly efficient and small footprint MEMBRANE BIOREACTOR. Its innovative treatment technology replaces conventional aerobic biological sewage plants aboard ships, and in hotel complexes and villages. Based on a high-density biological process combined with an FM module, Bio-Filt produces a pure, clean discharge without requiring additional chlorination or other chemical treatment.
