Conversely, the powerful hydroxyl radical-based AOP chemistry of the HiPOx system allows destruction of these compounds to dissolved CO2 and H20 or to readily bio-available intermediaries. The result is significantly increased carbon life, enhanced biological treatment, and improved overall process performance. Additionally, HiPOx systems employed for effluent polishing achieve high levels of BOD/COD destruction to meet strict discharge limits.
