APTwater is pleased to announce that the HiPOx® Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) technology is the first and only ozone-based technology accepted by the California Department of Public Health for unrestricted water reuse under the Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
The California Department of Health Services establishes water and treatment reliability criteria for water recycling under Title 22, Chapter 4 of the California Code of Regulations. The Title 22 Code contains the most stringent water recycling (water reuse) criteria in the United States.
Water recycling offers resource and financial savings for agricultural and landscape irrigation, industrial processes (i.e. cooling water for power plants and refineries, processing water for mills and plants), construction activities, toilet flushing, and groundwater recharge. Additionally, recycled water can satisfy most water demands as long as the water is properly treated to the level appropriate for the specific use.
